Operation Lifeline began as a grassroots effort responding to individual housing needs in our community and is now at an important point of growth. Our model intentionally connects housing and workforce development because we believe long-term housing stability requires both safe places to live and pathways to economic independence.
Our current work includes affordable housing development, permanent housing for veterans experiencing homelessness, rehabilitation and accessibility improvements that help people remain safely in their homes, and construction workforce training through our Veteran Futures Academy and partner programs. We are also developing new partnerships across Northeast Florida that will allow us to substantially increase the number of individuals and families we serve.
We place a strong emphasis on collaboration and regularly work alongside local governments, housing organizations, veteran-serving organizations, workforce agencies, builders, nonprofits, and community volunteers.
