Grants

Foodies Care is encouraging our Board Members to come together in support of the nonprofit organizations that matter most to them.

To participate, at least 5 Board Members must contribute, and participating Board Members must collectively raise a minimum of $250 for a qualified nonprofit partner. Once the $250 minimum is reached, Foodies Care will match the total amount raised, up to an additional $250.

The Building for Good Grant provides a donation to nonprofit organizations that are invited to a Building for Good event. Rather than competing for funding, each attending nonprofit receives financial support to further its mission and strengthen its impact in the community.

The Community Matching Grant program encourages organizations to rally their community around a shared cause. To qualify, the participating organization must raise at least $500 from 10 or more unique donors. Donors counted toward this requirement must be different from any Board Member donors that participated in the Board Member Matching Grant.

Once the organization meets these requirements, Foodies Care will match the funds raised ($500), helping amplify fundraising efforts, encourage community participation, and strengthen support for the nonprofit’s mission.

• Minimum 10 donors required that did not participate in the Board Member Matching Grant program

The Event Sponsorship Grant provides financial and in-kind support to community-driven events that align with our mission. This grant is designed to empower organizations, schools, and local leaders to host impactful gatherings that bring people together around food, housing, and social good.

The Foodie Partner Grant provides $300 in annual support to eligible Foodies Care nonprofit partners. Recipients receive $25 per month for 12 months, providing consistent, ongoing funding to help support their organization’s mission and programs.

This grant is designed to offer reliable monthly support that nonprofits can use where it is needed most, helping them continue their work of feeding the hungry, sheltering those experiencing housing insecurity, protecting the vulnerable, and building stronger communities.

The Legacy of Leaders Grant provides financial support to nonprofit organizations and individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, service, and commitment to making a lasting impact in their communities. This grant celebrates leaders and organizations that inspire positive change.

The Volunteer Impact Scholarship encourages students to give back to their communities through volunteerism while earning scholarship opportunities through Foodies Care and VolIntel. This initiative extends our mission by investing in individuals who are committed to service, leadership, and addressing food insecurity and homelessness.

Each year, the goal is to award scholarships to students who actively volunteer through participating partner organizations.

Requirements

• Students must register on VOLIntel
• Students must pledge and complete a minimum of 25 verified volunteer hours
• Volunteer hours must be tracked and verified through VolIntel
• After completing the required hours, students must submit an application and essay responding to: “What does volunteerism mean to you? Describe one volunteer experience that impacted you and how it shaped your perspective on giving back.”
• Scholarship applicants will also receive the opportunity to appear on an episode of “On a Mission” to share their volunteer experience and community impact
