To prevent homelessness and preserve stability for individuals and families in Jacksonville's beach communities by providing emergency assistance in a manner that dignity is preserved

BEAM is a community-based organization serving low-income residents in Jacksonville’s Beaches communities, drawing heavily on strong community support to assist our neighbors in times of need. We envision a future in which no Beaches resident goes hungry or is haunted by the fear of eviction.

Isaiah 58:7 & 10 — The Core Call to Community Care “Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter… and if you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness.” Why it reflects the mission: This verse perfectly encapsulates the holistic nature of BEAM. You don’t just provide food through your pantries; you prevent homelessness by assisting with rent and utilities for families facing a sudden crisis. It represents the promise that when a community “spends itself” to stabilize its neighbors, it brings light and hope to the entire beaches area.
