As a native of S. Florida, Steve has a passion for the development of the business community, recognizing the value of a multicultural approach. Steve has served the First Coast Hispanic Chamber in various levels including Trustee level sponsorship, which offered financial support to the Hispanic Business Community Outreach. As a Title Sponsor for Achieving the Dream, Steve served on the Board of Directors and helped to create the college sponsorship program. Steve also served as a Board of Director for the Juvenile Diabetes Reach Foundation where he provided oversight of the local chapter that helped raise money for Type 1 juvenile diabetes research. Steve also served as a College Professor, at a number of community colleges teaching at the collegiate level both traditional and nontraditional students.
